The Minns Labor Government is investing $160 million to deliver up to 1,200 additional commuter parking spaces at Tallawong and Hills Showground Metro stations, making it easier for local families to access fast and reliable public transport.

Northwest Sydney is one of Australia's fastest-growing regions, with more than 50,000 new homes planned across the North West Growth Area over the next two decades. As our community grows, it is essential that transport infrastructure grows alongside it.
This investment is part of the Minns Labor Government's broader commitment to improving transport across Western Sydney, alongside better bus services, active transport connections and increased Metro capacity.

“I have seen these scenes first-hand and know our community has been doing it tough each and every morning. When I speak to people, the most common feedback is about the lack of parking at these stations.
We’ve heard the community loud and clear – which is why we’re more than doubling the car spaces to give people a much better chance of finding a park close to the Metro.
This carpark chaos was caused by the former Liberal government failing to properly plan for our booming suburbs and Metro demand. I’m pleased the Minns Labor Government has been able to champion this cause and make the morning commute that bit easier.”
